Review Procedure
All articles and publications submitted to the editorial board undergo a review procedure. The task of reviewing is to promote an unbiased selection of original manuscripts for publication and make specific recommendations for correcting of factographic or other mistakes, if any, improving the style of the statement, etc. The review procedure is aimed at the most objective assessment of the content of a scientific article, determining its compliance with the requirements of a scientific collection and assumes a comprehensive analysis of the novelty and relevance of the materials of the article.
The following types of paper reviews are accepted in the journal:
? Chief editor peer review or his/her conclusions.
? Open peer review by an official reviewer or one of the editorial board members— external expert in relevant scientific area.
? Single-blind review by an official reviewer or one of the editorial board members — the reviewer knows about the author, but the author does not know about the reviewer.
The editorial board reserves the right of internal reviewing of articles and publications proposed for publishing, which is explained by the narrow specialization of the publication. An open peer review of manuscripts is conducted on the basis of a closed forum supporting the magazine. As authors submit manuscripts to the editorial board of the magazine, they entrust editors with the results of their scientific work and creative efforts, upon which their reputation and career may depend. Therefore, anyone who participates in an open review and is able to read manuscript texts and reviews should respect the rules of confidentiality and not disclose the information received outside the forum.
The review should include the following components:
? Paper title.
? Author.
? Compliance of the paper subject with the journal.
? Relevance.
? Scientific novelty.
? Adherence to accepted structure and contents of scientific papers.
? Completeness and adequacy of subject presentation in the abstract.
? Quality of paper design.
? Comments of the reviewer.
? Conclusion of the reviewer.
? Information about the reviewer, signature and date.
The existence of a favourable review is not in itself sufficient to authorize the publication of the article. The final decision regarding the suitability of printing the article is taken by the editorial board. After receiving reviews, the editorial board make the final decision to publish or refuse to publish the paper. Based on the decision made, a letter informing about the decision on paper publication is sent to the author (authors) by e-mail or by regular mail.
